Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This publication presents the entire painted oeuvre of Salvador Dali (1904-1989). After many years of research, Robert Descharnes and Gilles Neret finally located all the paintings of this highly prolific artist. Many of the works had been inaccessible for years - in fact so many that almost half the illustrations in this book have rarely been seen.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars excellent   May 17, 2007
in addition to providing many details about Dali's life, his relationship with Breton and the surrealists, his friendship with Picasso and so on, the book provides the reader with an excellent discussion/analysis/explanation of Dali's artistic/aesthetic choices and of his 'paranoiac-critical method'.
This seems to be the definitive book on Dli's paintings.
