An excellent text on GSM January 21, 2002 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a great text on GSM, covering the GSM air interface as well as the networking standards such as use of SS7 and GSM MAP. This book is an excellent complement to another Artech House book, Wireless Intelligent Networking, which covers the mobile IN aspects of GSM, including GSM MAP, INAP, CAMEL, and related applications.

An excellent overview on the GSM related protocols November 5, 1999 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
The author presents each of the aspects in concise and precise ways. Undoubtedly, it is readable even to novice of GSM. However, I think the book can improve greatly if pay more attention on (i) Use of MAP layer & (ii) Internetworking between various Mobile systems and services such as signalling in VMS, USSD etc.
