Product Description Richard Riley continues to follow the evolution of this classic program. Following the successes of Audio Editing with Cool Edit and Audio Editing with Adobe Audition, this brand new title covers Adobe Audition 2.0. Beginners and experienced users will find invaluable information on managing and developing wareforms, using non-native effects and processes, using loops and found sound, dealing with unexpected issues such as clicking and popping tracks or lost presets and replacing or editing video soundtracks. Detailed information on audio standards is provided as a background for finishing and producing audio along with procedures for submitting audio for external mastering. There's even a section on using Adobe Audition outside the studio and in theatres and live productions alongside essential information for users of Microsoft Vista.

AWESOME PROGRAM - AWESOME BOOK. IT IS VERY HELPFUL. WE HAVE LOANED THIS BOOK OUT MANY TIMES.
Disappointed. February 17, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this book hoping for in depth information on certain editing effects topics, for example "hard limiting". From what I read, the book does not go into much more detail than the information already available in the Help included with the program. I have returned this book and will be choosing a more costly one.
A great how-to book for Cool Edit Pro / Adobe Audition November 8, 2003 26 out of 27 found this review helpful
I was in need of a resource to explain how to use a trial copy of Adobe Audition, the name Adobe gave to the software when they acquired it from Syntrillium. As of this writing, there don't seem to be any books on this subject under the new product name, so I tried Richard Riley's, hoping it would fill my need. I was not disappointed! His book does an excellent job of explaining how to put this software, by whatever name, to use. The items covered in the book appear to apply to both the prior Cool Edit and newer Audition products, so it should serve owners of the software under either name equally well. It provided a great deal of "put it to use" information, and was an excellent value.
