This was a required text for me, but I have found the book to be very helpful. Aside from explaining mathematics in depth, the book contains many example problems adaptable for a clasroom, and reproducible pages in the back. Instead of selling this item I plan to keep and use it as a reference in my own classroom especially since the book contains alternative methods to teach concepts (i.e. lattice multiplication and pyramid division). This book references NCTM principles and standards but does not discuss them thoroughly.
