Comprehensive Pivot Tabling June 3, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This book contains the basics of Excel pivot table construction. It shows the components of pivot tables and charts and how to use them to create simple pivots. However, it does not provide much insight into the data analysis aspects of pivoting data nor does it go into depth conceptually enough for a book dedicated to pivot tables. After studying this book, you may find yourself looking for more detail and insight.
Recommended with reservation. dw
Clean and useful August 5, 2006 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
While I already use pivot's extensively, a few hours with this book and I'm already excited about taking them to the next level.
I don't know vba extensively - just record macros and sometimes tweak the code. However, the info here about automating pivots with VBA could really make a difference in the work I do.
This was easy to use - and will be a reference on my desk going forward.
A real lifesaver. March 15, 2006 13 out of 15 found this review helpful
After struggling with pivot tables this book finally helped me to understand them. It's clear and has lots of examples. It deals with the problems you can run into also. It has really helped me at work where I need to use Excel for a lot of things.
