3 out of 5 stars CliffsNotes starts out strong, finishes prematurely.   May 9, 2000

While this book has some information, it is not enough for the neophyte to set up a home network successfully without some other resources. It gives a good overview of networking up to a point, including what equipment to buy, how to get started, etc. But it falls down in the troubleshooting area. Computer projects always include trouble, and troubleshooting help is needed to make this a good book.
