| Customer Reviews:
Absolute Disappointment October 7, 2008 This much appraised dictionary proved an absolute frustration to me. There are several reasons for this: a)Computing has become a fast changing 'feature' of our life, which we are undeniably dependent on and which wen can only cope with if we are provided with updates on it at short intervals. This dictionary, however, is hopelessly out of date and thus out of time as it recruits its computer-related technical terms from 'olden times' way back or rather before 2005. So if someone wants to swop up on a specific new device within the field of computer science they will realize there is a blatant lack of the latest advanced technological gadgets, let alone software developments and the applications resulting from them. b) The second point for which I (virtually) 'detest' the dictionary is - unlike what it promised to deliver - a conspicuous shortage of model examples, such as idiomatic phrases or any kind of useful instances a certain term ist inseparably associated with. In total: For a beginner it might serve a good purpose in that it yields a follow-up of very concise definitions easy to understand as they are based on plain language. Yet I wouldn't recommend this booklet to any indepth 'connoisseur' of the matter.
