What a con May 14, 2008 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
A list of registrar's -- oh please - easy to find out WITHOUT this book or the seminar as is a pay scale. The only people who are getting anything from this book and the seminars are the authors.
This falls under the same category as make millions in real estate, make millions buying and selling on e-bay.
A con
Disappointment March 28, 2008 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
Book was disappointing because it does not include anything more than common sense advice in applying for edcuational jobs. The authors certainly created a very clever way to make $200,000 a year in the field of education, sell a book.
Better than expected, a legitimate approach March 1, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I'm a professional paranoid, so I was pretty suspicious that the book would be some get rich quick scheme. It isn't. This is a very sound book that make a pretty convencing demonstration that one can take solid academic credentials and some teaching experience and work at home. The authors are well experienced in the field and made comments regarding online tools that I also share about the same tools. They do indeed know what they are talking about.
If you have a masters or (better) terminal degree in your field, love teaching and mentoring, and want to work at home full time, this is an excellent book.

Excellent resource. Covers an incredible amount of information in great detail. Easy to read. Provides information for alternative resources to keep up to date as time goes on.
Not quite an embarrasment, but close! December 19, 2007 8 out of 15 found this review helpful
As an on-line learner, I now understand why some "mentors" are slow to respond and when they do, the response is useless. They must have read and followed the suggestions in this book! I hope on-line mentors are fully engaged in the teaching/learning concept and not just out to make a "fast buck" like the authors. This is really bad for the on-line education industry!
